Overcoming Resistance

This morning in Toronto, while I was going through my emails I found a blog from Seth Godin entitled: “A note from 2020” which read the following

  • “Twelve years from now, your future self is going to thank you for something you did today, for an asset you began to build, a habit you formed, a seed you planted.
  • Even if you’re not sure of where it will lead, today’s the day to begin.”

After reading it, I realised that it has been a long time that I have wanted to start writing, but always found excuses like “I really don’t have the time” and “what about if people don’t like what I am writing about” and even “what if nobody reads it”.

Then today, I realised that as a matter of fact I was just procrastinating and decided to take the first step and how difficult it was to do it.

What was the first step? – stop with the excuses and just do it. Get out of your comfort zone and start writing.

During my years of work as a consultant and trainer, I have talked a lot about embracing change and stepping into the challenge zone.

Time to do it. Change doesn’t mean perfection but it means progress and driving towards the achievement of your objectives.

Change and Continuous Improvement two topics to be further discussed.
